The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Headquarters is structured with seven key staff branches responsible for policy formulation and implementation. These branches include Policy and Plans, Training and Operations, Aircraft Engineering, Logistics and Communications, Administration, Standards and Evaluations, and the Air Secretary.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially commenced the Basic Military Training Course (45/2024) for cadets across various professions. This recruitment drive offers opportunities for Nigerians with a minimum of HND or BSc qualifications to join the NAF. Qualifications and Requirements

• General Qualifications:

  • Applicants must possess a minimum of 2 passes in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB, including a credit in English Language for trade skills positions.
  • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and have a valid National Identity Card/NIN or BVN.
  • Males must be at least 1.66m tall, and females must be at least 1.63m tall.
  • Applicants must be in good medical, physical, and psychological health.
  • No criminal convictions should be on record.

• Non-Tradesmen/Women:

  • Age: 18-22 years
  • Qualifications: Minimum of 5 credits in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB, including Mathematics and English, in not more than 2 sittings.

• Tradesmen/Women:

  • Age: 18-25 years (18-28 years for Chaplain/Imam assistants and Drivers/Mechanics)
  • Qualifications: Applicants for medical professions must possess an ND from recognized institutions in Nigeria and hold a valid practicing license. Sports professionals must present evidence of experience, including certificates and medals.

Guidelines for Application

• Only one application per candidate is allowed; multiple applications will result in disqualification.

• After completing the online application, applicants must print out the following documents:

  • Acknowledgment Form
  • Parent/Guardian Consent Form
  • Local Government Attestation Form

• The Attestation Form must include a passport photograph and a photocopy of the signee’s Driver’s License, International Passport, or National ID Card. The signee must also authenticate the applicant’s passport photograph.
